Sonic Concepts Joins Expert Panel on Cavitation Detection Equipment Hosted by Focused Ultrasound Foundation and American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine

Kyle Morrison, President of Sonic Concepts, Inc., was invited to share his expertise on focused ultrasound transducers, sensors, and cavitation detection equipment during the first in a series of virtual workshops entitled “Detecting, Mapping, and Quantifying Bubble Activity in Therapeutic Ultrasound.” Hosted jointly by The Focused Ultrasound Foundation and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine’s Future Fund, the series runs every Friday from September 24 through October 29 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Eastern. The workshops were organized to identify the knowledge, gaps in understanding, and best practices in bubble activity dosimetry for ultrasound therapy. Sessions are free and open to all those who are interested.
Sonic Concepts Moves to Expand Production Capacity and Accommodate Growing Workforce

In August 2021, Sonic Concepts, Inc. (SCI) will relocate to a larger facility in its current office complex in Bothell, WA. The company made the decision to expand to handle the growing worldwide demand for its premium transducers and turnkey focused ultrasound systems as well as engineering expertise. Built to accommodate SCI’s rapid growth, the new facility nearly doubles the company’s current footprint. The move will be complete by August 30, 2021.
Kyle Morrison has been invited to share his engineering and technical expertise on focused ultrasound design and development during the first Brainbox Initiative Workshop, An Introduction to Transcranial Focused Ultrasound Stimulation, to be held April 20–22, 2021. Morrison will join world-renowned academic and technical experts in transcranial focused ultrasound (tFUS/TUS) to facilitate a three-day online workshop covering the latest innovations in tFUS research. Workshop leaders include Dr. Lennart Verhagen, Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour; Dr. Jamie Tyler, IST and Arizona State University; Dr. Til Ole Bergmann (University Medical Center Mainz), Dr Tulika Nandi (University of Oxford), and others.
